Agarose

CAS: 9012-36-6 Grade: AR Grade Formula: (C₁₂H₁₈O₉)ₙ Pack Capacity: 100 G

Agarose is a highly purified, neutral linear polysaccharide extracted from selected species of red seaweed (Rhodophyceae). It is widely used in molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical research, and clinical laboratories for gel electrophoresis, protein separation, DNA and RNA analysis, immunodiffusion, chromatography, and cell culture applications. Agarose forms strong, transparent gels with excellent clarity, low electroendosmosis (EEO), and high gel strength, making it the preferred matrix for nucleic acid separation and analytical research.
